Bro Hof
The Stadium Course at Bro Hof Slott GC near Stockholm has been voted Sweden’s best golf course two years running (Golf Digest). And no wonder - Robert Trent Jones Jr., the architect of the course says: “Everything is big at Bro Hof! The holes are longer, the greens are bigger, the course has more water and the bunkers are larger and well placed’. The second course – the Castle Course – opened in mid-2010 and is ready for play. Another very good reason for you coming to play here.
Kungsängen
The Kings Course at Kungsängen, just outside Stockholm, has hosted the Scandinavian Masters tournament four times. This championship course plays like one; large undulating greens, forest-lined fairways and strategically placed bunkers. Target golf is what counts at the Queens Course. The fairways are tight and the water hazards many and varied at this forest course.
Arlandastad
Arlandastad Golf is just 10 minutes from Stockholm-Arlanda Airport or 30 minutes from Stockholm. Here you’ll find the Masters Course and The New Course; the former hosting the European Tour between 2004 and 2008.
The Masters Course is a parkland course with water hazards on 12 holes, so it’s one tough cookie. The New Course is shorter, but with tight fairways and well placed greenside bunkers, it’s probably as tough.
Vidbynäs
You drive for show and putt for dough at Vidbynäs Golf Club’s two courses; the New Axa Course and the South Course. The greens here have been voted Sweden’s best and in combination, the courses’ challenging design and varied forest and heath environs, they will demand the best of your game. The course is just 30-minutes’ drive from Stockholm.
These are just four of Stockholm’s more than 80 great golf courses. Come and discover them.
