PGA of Sweden National
The Links Course and the Lakes Course at the PGA of Sweden National are carved out of the former grounds of Torup Castle to the north east of Malmö. Both are designed by Kyle Phillips and the inspiration for this golf resort is a little bit Scotland, a little bit Florida and a whole lot of enjoyment.
The Links Course is a golfing challenge with large, undulating greens and an array of small bunkers with the potential to make your life more difficult. With water playing through seven of the holes, have your wits about you. The Lakes Course, meanwhile, has small greens, large bunkers and purpose-built (read ‘watch out’) water hazards.
S:t Arild
S:t Arild golf course is a challenging 18-holes of parkland/woodland course on the beautiful Kulla peninsula just up the coast from Malmö. Expect fast greens and a course at one with its natural surroundings of small lakes and islands. The mild climate here makes for a long season. Good news for you as you get to play more golf here at S:t Arild.
Ystad Golf Club
The Ystad Golf Club course looks out across the Baltic Sea here in the far south of Sweden. The first hole at this seaside, heathland course was included in the ‘dream golf course of Swedish golf’ courses by a local newspaper describing it thus; “Take just enough club to get you over the water, but not too much club as you’ll end up in the water behind it”. The outward nine has enough water hazards to keep you on your toes. The inward nine play slightly more easily, but watch out when the wind gets up.
