On the water
Kite surfing is the order of the day on Malmö’s city beach, Riberborgstranden. Yes, that’s right, a beach in the city. Attend kite surf school and let the wind whizz you along the stunning Öresund sound with Denmark on one side and Malmö on the other.
Want to try your hand at yachtsmanship? Take to the waters of the Öresund. Sail, skipper and sleep aboard a brand new 2010 Maxus sailing boat. Fast movers will love a rip around the sound in a jet ski or a Speed Cat motorboat going from 0-45 knots per hour in under 3 seconds.
Behind the wheel
Fancy a few laps of go-karting F1 style? It’s faster than you think and there’s no shame in it. So take to your kart, race against the clock and lap it up in your leather gear. But if you want to go all out, you can test-drive a Ferrari F430 and Lamborghini Gallardo if you leave your high heels at home and bring your license and sobriety with you.
Off the beaten track
Reduce stress, improve concentration, focus on your breathing, relaxation and get to shoot a 357 Magnum? It’s not too good to be true. It’s Malmö pistol shooting club. You get an instructor, weapons, ammunition, eye and ear protection and a feel good day at the range.
Up in the air
Tandem skydive from 3,400 metres and spend up to 20 minutes parachuting down. If you prefer a machine between you and the ground but still want the feeling of freefall, take a spin in a gyrocopter – a cross between a plane and a helicopter. Of course there’s always a hot air balloon above the city rooftops to get a bird’s eye view of the city and the stunning sound.
